The latest recipients of a Greer Moves grant own an existing business that is working on a new and innovative idea.
At the January 14 Greer Council meeting, members of the Greer Moves board awarded a $10,000 grant to Platform at Greer Bootcamp graduates, Ben Lagrange and Chris Davidson. They are the co-owners of Blue Ridge Heating & Air, and their team is developing a new mold-sensing technology they call AirGuard.
Graduates of The Platform at Greer Bootcamp program are eligible to apply for Greer Moves grants. Ben and Chris participated in Bootcamp Cohort 14 last May. They were there to work with their coaches on an innovative solution to detect mold, an indoor air quality problem many of their HVAC customers face.
Ben and Chris are active members of The Platform at Greer community. They were also nominated for a 2024 statewide InnoVision Award.
Greer Moves is a non-profit that provides funding for graduates of the Bootcamp program. These grants would not be possible without donations from Michelin, BMW, Countybank, and the Indigo Hope Foundation. The Platform's programs would not be possible without our partnership with BlueInc Strategies.
Congratulations, AirGuard!
