The Platform at Greer is all about community, connection, and collaboration. While devastating in so many ways, Hurricane Helene provided an opportunity for people to come together to help those hit the hardest.
In this week’s All Aboard feature, we’re highlighting the efforts of the Bootcamp grads at Blue Ridge Heating & Air who organized supply runs to Western North Carolina where they have an office and employees who experienced great loss and devastation.
Co-owners Ben Lagrange and Chris Davidson packed up generators, food, water, gas, and first aid supplies and set up a help center at their Brevard facility. They even brought something called a Starlink Kit to help people who had lost internet and cell service make calls and send texts.
The hurricane recovery effort is going to be a long one in some areas. We’re keeping a running list of resources. You can find out more information about how to recoup lost income, get tax relief, and find the nearest business recovery center. If you are struggling in the wake of Hurricane Helene and have unmet needs, please reach out. We’ll try to connect you with the help you need.
