This Week's Founder: Connie O'Neill
All Aboard for this week’s feature highlighting the entrepreneurs and innovators who drive The Platform at Greer!
This week, we’re getting on board with Connie O’Neill (pictured above, second from the left.) Connie O’Neill is an occupational therapist by trade and the founder of Big Play in a Box which encourages interactive play for young children as an alternative to screens. O’Neill was the winner of the Bootcamp Cohort 9 pitch event and one of our first Greer Moves grant winners. She’s also a part of The Platform’s new small group coaching program for high-potential entrepreneurs.
Recently, Big Play in a Box received a very large order for their boxes from an Upstate school district, and Connie needed help. Through a friend, she was able to connect with the Community Service Director from Ashlan Village, a retirement center in Lyman. From there, Connie explained the mission of Big Play in a Box to the residents and requested their help in putting together the massive order. To her surprise, the residents took the idea and ran with it and they finished within 5 days!
